Comnha Vietnamese Cuisine
Comnha Vietnamese Cuisine quickly became one of our go-to spots during our time on the island, and for good reason. Located just a short 5-minute walk from Khem Beach, it was the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal after a day by the sea. The food was consistently amazing, and we found ourselves returning for both lunch and dinner, trying nearly everything on the menu without ever being disappointed.
What made the experience even better was how the menu evolved over time, with new, mouthwatering dishes added regularly. Whether you’re a fan of classic Vietnamese flavors or eager to try something new, Comnha has something special for everyone. The combination of great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a convenient location near the beach makes it a must-visit on your island adventure.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a day at the beach. With both air conditioning and fans, you’ll stay cool and comfortable while you enjoy your meal. The service is impressively quick, so you won’t have to wait long to dig into their delicious dishes.

The atmosphere outside is pleasant and tropical, offering a laid-back vibe that perfectly complements the island setting. Whether you choose to sit indoors or outdoors really depends on your preference. For us, dinner under the stars is always a treat, so we love dining outside in the evening. During the day, though, we prefer the cooler comfort of the indoor seating to escape the midday heat.

The fish here is prepared exceptionally well, offering a variety of options to suit your taste. You can choose grilled fish, fish in tomato sauce, or fried fish—and honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of them. Each dish is served with a fresh salad and fragrant herbs, making for a perfectly balanced and flavorful meal. Whether you’re craving something light or indulgent, the fish here is always a fantastic choice!

One of our favorite meals at the restaurant is “Cac Mon Com Phan,” which quickly became our go-to lunch dish, often paired with crispy spring rolls. This simple yet delicious meal is an absolute treat, and it costs just 89,000 VND. The star of the dish is the pork ribs, served with an incredible sauce that’s so good we always ask for extra. Cooked in a traditional clay dish, the meat is tender and melts in your mouth, delivering a burst of flavor with every bite.

Let me tell you about the spring rolls—an absolute must-try when you visit! We had them with every meal, and at just 105,000 VND, they’re worth every penny. These rolls are perfectly crispy, and when paired with their flavorful dipping sauce, they’re so irresistible you’ll want to order them again right away. Just kidding—you’ll probably be full after one order, but trust me, these spring rolls are that good. Don’t miss out on this delicious treat!
Spring Rolls – Fresh rolls filled with shrimp, herbs, and vermicelli, served with a tangy dipping sauce.

If you’re a seafood lover, you won’t want to miss the clay-prepared fish, com ca basa tho tieu. This dish features yellowtail fish, cooked to perfection in a traditional clay pot, giving it a unique and incredibly flavorful taste. Priced at just 89,000 VND, it’s a dish that will leave you craving more.
The local sauce used to prepare this dish is a specialty made right here on the island, and I’ll share more about that in a future post. What makes this dish truly special is how the yellowtail’s bones practically melt away during the cooking process, resulting in tender, mouthwatering fish. Not only is it delicious, but it’s also packed with Vitamin D, making it a nourishing treat that’s as healthy as it is tasty.
Lua Yao Xao Sa Ot is another fantastic dish, especially if you’re a seafood lover—particularly a fan of clams! The preparation of this dish is incredible, with the clams stir-fried to perfection with lemongrass and chili, giving it a deliciously aromatic and bold flavor. The combination of the fresh seafood taste and the lemongrass makes each bite incredibly satisfying.
Served with a side of rice and the soup of the day, this dish is a true treat for the senses. If you’re looking for a flavorful seafood experience, Lua Yao Xao Sa Ot will not disappoint!

Another dish we tried is uc vit tao sa ot—a flavorful duck dish cooked with chili and lemongrass. It’s served with a side of rice and the soup of the day, making it a well-rounded meal. The duck is incredibly tender, and the combination of lemongrass and chili perfectly enhances the natural flavor of the meat.
The sauce is absolutely delicious, complementing every bite with its rich and savory taste. This dish is a must-try for anyone who loves bold, aromatic flavors. Priced at 170,000 VND, it’s a culinary experience you won’t forget!

We truly enjoyed the soups of the day at this restaurant! One standout experience was trying cucumber soup for the very first time—it was incredibly refreshing after a long day at the beach, the perfect way to cool off. We also tried onion lemongrass soup, which had such a unique and aromatic taste we hadn’t experienced before. From cabbage soup to many other interesting options, every soup we’ve tried has been a delightful surprise. If you’re looking to explore something new, these soups are a must-try!

We also tried a few smoothies here, and let me tell you, they’re delicious! Unlike the smoothies we’ve had in Thailand, these are made with coconut milk, which gives them a unique twist on the typical flavor. But don’t get me wrong—these smoothies are still amazing! We had the mango and passion fruit varieties, and both were excellent choices. The creamy coconut milk combined with the fresh fruit made for a refreshing and flavorful treat. Definitely worth trying if you visit!

Banh Xeo Phu Quoc
Banh Xeo Phu Quoc was the first restaurant we visited when we arrived on the island. Eager to try authentic Vietnamese food, we were excited when the hotel recommended this spot to kickstart our culinary adventure. Located centrally, it’s just a short walk from King Kong Mart, one of the most popular places on the island.

When we arrived, the restaurant was full, and we had to wait for a table to become available. The interior was simple, reminding me of a school cafeteria, but the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The place was filled with young people, and you could hear laughter and excitement all around. The walls were adorned with pictures from various parts of Vietnam, which only fueled our desire to explore more of the country. The friendly vibe and vibrant energy made it a memorable experience from the moment we stepped in.

This family-owned gem offers a small but flavorful menu with just 10 dishes to choose from. When we visited, three of them had already sold out, which shows just how popular this place is. To make sure you get a seat and have the full menu available, we recommend arriving around 11-11:30 AM before the lunch rush hits.

We decided to try the Bánh Xèo, the most popular dish on the menu, and it came highly recommended by our server. It has a unique way of being eaten, and the server kindly showed us how to enjoy it properly. The dish arrives with rice paper and a set of scissors. The main meal looks like an omelette, filled with seafood and bean sprouts. To eat it, you cut the “omelette,” mix everything together with fresh herbs, wrap it up in the rice paper, and dip it into a delicious sauce. The combination of flavors and textures was absolutely mouthwatering—so good, we couldn’t get enough!
Bánh Xèo – Vietnamese savory pancakes filled with shrimp, pork, and bean sprouts.

Even though we were already full from the Bánh Xèo, we couldn’t resist trying the Cơm Tấm because of the beef preparation. And let me tell you, it was totally worth it! The beef was incredibly tender, cooked to perfection, and bursting with flavor.

The third dish we tried was Mì Xào Hải Sản, and even though we were absolutely stuffed, we couldn’t resist giving it a go. The noodles were freshly made in the kitchen, and they had a unique flavor that paired perfectly with the seafood. The combination was absolutely delicious and left us craving more, despite already being full! After all that food, we thought we might need a break from eating for a few days—but just kidding! We were already planning what to try next. Can you guess? Yes, it was Bánh Mì! Let us show you the best Bánh Mì on the island below.

Sunny – Bánh Mì
Sunny restaurant was our first time trying Bánh Mì in Vietnam, and before we decided where to go for the best one, we did our homework and asked around. We had seen Bánh Mì on the streets of Phu Quoc, but we didn’t want to try it until we had the best first. We had heard so much about Bánh Mì, even back when we were in California, so we knew it was something we had to experience. After trying this amazing Bánh Mì, we couldn’t stop—we went on to try it in Da Nang, Hanoi, and Hội An. In the end, we’ll tell you which one was the best for us! Stay tuned.
Bánh Mì – Vietnamese sandwiches with a crispy baguette filled with various meats, vegetables, and condiments.

Sunny is located in Grand World Phu Quoc and offers the most beautiful front canal seating. It’s such a joy to watch the passing gondolas while enjoying your Bánh Mì. It’s funny because gondolas are usually associated with pizza and Italy, but here we are in Vietnam, eating Bánh Mì and watching the gondolas float by—a truly unique experience! The setting really adds to the charm, making it a Bánh Mì to remember.

Cheers to our first-ever Bánh Mì in Vietnam! We were so eager to try it, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The sandwich was stuffed with tender beef, mushrooms, fresh herbs, and so much more. Every bite was bursting with flavor, making it the perfect introduction to this famous Vietnamese sandwich.

To give it a more Western twist, we also added some French fries and, of course, mango and watermelon smoothies. It was the perfect combo for a delicious meal!

We really enjoyed the Bánh Mì here, and after trying it in so many other places, it’s hard to pick the best one because they all had their unique flavors. We loved them all! When we leave Vietnam, we’ll definitely miss Bánh Mì the most—it’s become one of our favorite must-try foods of this Vietnam visit!

Bun Quay Dac San
Bún Quậy Đặc Sản is a family-owned restaurant we visited during our Grand World walk, and it was the perfect spot with a great location. The entrance was beautifully decorated with sunflowers, and if you’re a regular reader, you know how much we love sunflowers! The owners greeted us warmly and handed us a big menu to choose from, making us feel right at home.

The location was so perfect that we could watch the daily Grand World shows while enjoying our lunch. It was incredibly entertaining, and the experience was enhanced by the Vietnamese music coming from the show, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere.

The menu was huge, with such a wide selection that it made choosing what to have for lunch a bit challenging. Since we had plans for dinner later on, we didn’t want to eat too much, so we had to be mindful of our choices.

We went with the traditional Bánh Xèo, and by now, we were pros at how to eat it, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We also tried the pineapple rice with seafood, and it was absolutely delicious. If you ever find yourself in Grand World and craving pineapple rice, this is the perfect place for it!

San Ho Do
San Ho Do is another great spot we visited for lunch in the Dương Đông area. It’s a fantastic seafood restaurant where you pick your meal directly from the aquarium, and they cook it for you right on the spot. It’s a unique and fun dining experience, especially if you’re a seafood lover!

The place is spacious and very welcoming, with a great atmosphere and excellent service. The Vietnamese music added an extra layer of charm to our lunch. Since we went for an early lunch, we were the only ones there, which made the experience even more special—we had the whole restaurant to ourselves! It was the perfect setting to enjoy a delicious meal.

We had the catch of the day, Cà Hồng Nướng Bơ Tỏi (grilled snapper with garlic butter), which cost 139,000 VND, along with a dish of vegetables with beef and rice, Bò Lắc Lắc, which was priced at 149,000 VND. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the restaurant gave us the option to choose which fish we wanted, making it even more special. We really enjoyed our lunch and the entire experience!

Banh Mi Kebab
Bánh Mì Kebab is another Bánh Mì spot we tried on the island, and it quickly became our favorite go-to place when we wanted something quick, delicious, and with no wait. This place is amazing, offering both Bánh Mì kebabs and Vietnamese rolls. It’s located in the Sunset Town Village, making it the perfect stop when you’re in the area. The combination of flavors and convenience makes it an ideal choice for a satisfying meal on the go!

Some days there’s no line, and other days, you might find a long wait. The best time to visit is around 5 PM, just when it opens. Most of the restaurants in the Sunset Town Village start serving at that time, so it’s a great opportunity to beat the crowd and enjoy a fresh, delicious meal without the wait!

The kebab is so good that you definitely shouldn’t miss this place when you visit the village. It’s crispy, and the sauces they use are absolutely delicious—such a perfect combination! And at just 35,000 VND, it’s a fantastic value for a tasty and satisfying snack.

We also paired it with a Vietnamese roll, which we absolutely love. It costs 12,000 VND and is filled with shrimp, lettuce, and noodles—so delicious and the perfect complement to the kebab!

We always had Mama Cat dining with us. She loves kebab too, but she’s so polite — she never begs or bothers anyone. If you offer her something, she’ll appreciate it, but she never meows or asks. She’s such a sweetheart!

Com Bac Restaurant
Com Bac restaurant is located inside the Chợ Đêm Phú Quốc night market, offering a beautiful riverside setting with stunning views while dining. If you’re visiting the night market and want to try something different from the street food, this is a great place to stop by. The atmosphere is relaxed and perfect for enjoying a delicious meal while soaking in the sights of the river.

As soon as you walk in, the beautiful river views greet you, creating such a relaxing atmosphere. It’s a peaceful experience, watching the fishing boats pass by with their fresh catch of the day. The sight of the boats and the calm river truly adds to the charm of dining at Com Bac, making it a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a meal.

The restaurant seating was lovely, and when we visited, there weren’t many people at all, which made it even more peaceful. The servers were very pleasant, and we were impressed by how prepared they were. This was the only restaurant where the staff carried little iPads to help translate their conversations with us. They used Google Translate to communicate, which was really thoughtful and convenient. It made the experience much easier, as we didn’t even have to pull out our phones to translate. It was such a smooth and pleasant interaction!

We visited for a late lunch and were craving a Vietnamese soup, but not pho. So we asked what other soups they had, and the server recommended a rice seafood soup, which they called “grandma’s soup,” a traditional dish from old times. We were so curious to try it, and it didn’t disappoint. It was absolutely delicious and reminded me of the soups our grandmas used to make us when we were kids. It’s a popular dish in Europe, but instead of seafood, they usually use chicken. The warm, comforting flavors made it feel like a nostalgic home-cooked meal!

We also ordered garlic bread to go with the soup, along with papaya salad, some pork belly, and seafood rice. It was a fantastic meal. We did notice that the prices here, close to the river, were a bit higher than anywhere else we’d eaten on the island. However, it’s a popular spot, especially for tourists visiting the night market. If you want to try the Vietnamese “grandma” seafood soup, this is definitely the perfect spot to do it! The beautiful views, delicious food, and relaxed atmosphere make it worth the visit.

Pepper’s Western & Grill
When you’re in Phu Quoc and craving Western food or pizza, Pepper’s Western & Grill is a great choice. This family-owned restaurant is conveniently located near King Kong Mart. We decided to give it a try and check it out. While there aren’t many pizza restaurants on the island—or at least we didn’t come across many—this spot stood out as a solid option for satisfying those Western food cravings.

They had a wide selection of pizzas with many different types to choose from. We decided to try two different ones and compare the flavors. The menu was written in four languages, which was quite impressive—definitely not something we had come across often on the island!

The setting inside was very homey, and it reminded us of a diner we once visited on Koh Yao Yai Island. The owners were incredibly welcoming, and the service was quick and efficient, making the experience even more enjoyable.

We ordered the seafood pizza with olives, which cost 235,000 VND. It was a delightful, cheesy pizza with a perfectly crunchy crust. We also tried the chicken pepper pizza for 195,000 VND. Both pizzas were delicious, with a crispy and flavorful dough that really hit the spot.

Meet n’ Eat
Meet n’ Eat is located in Sunset Town and is a fantastic spot for lunch when you’re in the area. They offer a diverse menu, including burgers, soups, and Vietnamese cuisine. The restaurant features both indoor and outdoor seating. If you choose to sit outside, you can enjoy the lovely view of the fountains, adding a pleasant ambiance to your meal.

If you’re wondering about the name – Meet n’ Eat is where locals and travelers alike come together to enjoy delicious food and great company. It’s the kind of place where you can sit down with strangers, swap travel tips, and make new friends from all over the world. Whether you’re a solo traveler or with a group, the vibe here is warm and welcoming.

We decided to try something different and went for the Canh Cai Tom Thit soup at Meet n’ Eat. This flavorful dish was a comforting mix of sweet cabbage, ginger, minced pork, and noodles—offering a perfect balance of flavors. We also indulged in one of their burgers. Let’s be honest, after spending so much time traveling through Asia, sometimes you just crave a tasty burger. While it wasn’t quite like the In-N-Out we miss from California, it was definitely a satisfying and delicious choice.
The interesting part was that the taste reminded us a lot of the burgers we had on Koh Yao Noi, but here, the buns were homemade and crispier. It brought back some great memories from the island! To read more about our culinary adventure on Koh Yao Noi, check out our post 10 Restaurants in Koh Yao Noi You’ll Love – you won’t want to miss it!

We also tried the pho soup, which was recommended by the server, and it was really good. The noodles had a nice creamy texture, and we could taste the different herbs in the soup—such a flavorful experience! We paired it with refreshing mango juice, which was the perfect drink to complement the meal.

Korean Delights
Korean Delights is a charming little local restaurant in Sunset Town Village, offering outdoor seating with a refreshing ocean breeze. We visited when we were craving a good bowl of soup, and they didn’t disappoint. We tried two different soups here, and we liked them both.

They specialize in two unique soups, and we loved both of them: the Bun Han Quoc Tom Yum Soup and the Mi Han Quoc Tom Yum Soup. Each bowl was packed with rich, varied flavors and topped with a squeeze of fresh lime—so delicious! At just 45,000 VND per soup, it’s an affordable and satisfying choice.

We were recommended to try Korean sushi, which isn’t like the Japanese version—it’s called cơm cuộn vừa. It had a unique taste that still reminded us of sushi. When we ordered it, we referred to it as sushi, but the server kindly corrected us, explaining that it’s actually cơm cuộn vừa. We also enjoyed the cơm con Han Quoc. If you’re craving something different, you’ll have a fun time trying these dishes!

Eating soups in Vietnam has improved our healthy eating habits. We noticed more energy, and since we wanted to stay healthy, these soups kept us feeling great throughout our stay. Even the plates they were served on had the message “Live Happy” written on them—how cute is that? Comment below and let us know which soups you love or would like to try during your stay in Vietnam!

Nha Vang Restaurant
Nha Vang Restaurant is located in the Duong Dong area, just a stone’s throw from King Kong Mart, and it’s a must-visit in our opinion. The restaurant serves traditional Vietnamese cuisine and has such a charming, cozy atmosphere that makes it a delightful spot to enjoy a meal.

Nha Vang Restaurant offers indoor seating only, and the interior is absolutely charming with decorations and pictures from all over Vietnam, as well as the famous lanterns that add to the vibe. The menu is designed to make ordering easy, with sets that allow you to sample a variety of Vietnamese flavors without the hassle of deciding what to pick. While there are no pictures on the menu (which we appreciate), the helpful drawings give you an idea of what to expect. We decided to try one of the sets, unsure if it would be enough for two people, and to our surprise, the portion was more than enough!

The set we tried included Bánh Mì, Vietnamese spring rolls, and the famous Bánh Xèo. When you’re on the island, make sure to try both Bánh Xèo and Bánh Mì—these are must-try dishes in Vietnam! The crispy, savory Bánh Xèo, paired with the delicious Bánh Mì, truly captures the essence of Vietnamese street food and is a delightful experience you won’t want to miss.

We love both the spring rolls and the Vietnamese rolls, and the best part is that we each have our preferences! Dan enjoys the spring rolls, while Lina prefers the Vietnamese rolls. It’s great when we’re served different options because we get to enjoy both! Which one do you like, and why? Comment below and let us know your favorite!

The bánh xèo here was very well prepared. We’ve had it at numerous restaurants before, but we really liked the texture and the seafood selection here. It seems like every bánh xèo comes with a different mix of seafood goodies, which adds to the excitement. The bánh mì was also delicious, and the sauces served with it made it even more tasty.

Zig Zag
Zig Zag Restaurant is a fantastic spot with both indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the sea. We visited during the day and returned in the evening for sunset, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. Watching the sunset paint the sky, listening to the soothing waves, and later enjoying the fireworks and vibrant shows made dining here truly unforgettable. It’s the perfect way to wrap up a day on the island.

If you’re planning to enjoy a sunset dinner at Zig Zag Restaurant, be sure to arrive a little early. The place fills up quickly, and it can be hard to snag a table with a front-row view. If you come later for dinner, the table location won’t matter as much since the sea will already be dark, but you’ll still have a great spot to enjoy the fireworks.

The menu at Zig Zag Restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, so finding something delicious isn’t difficult. However, we didn’t particularly enjoy the soups here—or perhaps we just didn’t pick the right ones. Both soups we ordered contained beef blood, which looked a bit like chocolate. Since it’s not something we eat, we decided to skip it. But if you’re a fan of beef blood, these soups might be a great choice! Many people seemed to enjoy them, and they’re known to have health benefits.
Instead, we had bánh xèo and spring rolls. The bánh xèo quickly became our favorite dish on the island, especially when served with lots of fresh herbs.

Instead, we opted for bánh xèo and spring rolls. The bánh xèo quickly became our favorite dish on the island, especially when paired with plenty of fresh herbs. What made it stand out was how wonderfully crispy it was—so different from the other versions we’d tried elsewhere. This one was a true delight!

One of the soups we tried featured pig feet, while the other included beef intestines. Somehow, we didn’t quite understand the menu, and when we asked the server for clarification, Google Translate didn’t do a great job either. The soups were salty and creamy but not to our taste—perhaps because we already knew what was inside.
If you’re not a fan of beef blood or animal intestines, it’s good to keep this in mind when ordering. However, if you enjoy those flavors, these soups might be right up your alley!

Phuong Hoang
Phuong Hoang Seafood Restaurant is a popular spot in Duong Dong, known for its fresh and delicious seafood. Located just about 2.5 kilometers from the lively night market, it’s easy to get to for both locals and tourists. Surrounded by other great restaurants, it’s the perfect place for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable seafood meal in a vibrant atmosphere. The restaurant is open every day from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to experience all it has to offer.

The restaurant features a cozy, open-air seating area with traditional decorations that transport you to an old village in Vietnam. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, adding to the overall charm of the experience. The servers were friendly and communicative, making the service quick and efficient. The menu is diverse, offering a wide range of options, from international dishes to authentic Vietnamese cuisine, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

We decided to try the catch of the day and the seafood rice, and both were incredible—so well cooked! The seafood rice was unlike anything we’d tried before, with a perfect blend of flavors. You could really taste the crab meat and clams inside, making each bite a delight. Highly recommended! We also ordered eggplants from the Russian section of the menu, since we love them, and they were absolutely delicious. To top it off, we got calamari, which was fresh and crisp, adding to the fantastic meal.

Kungfu Noodle Restaurant
Kungfu Noodle Restaurant is one of our favorite spots on the island. Located in Sunset Town, Phu Quoc, it’s a popular dining spot known for its delicious and hearty noodle dishes. The noodles are prepared fresh right in the restaurant, ensuring every bowl is as tasty and satisfying as the last. With both indoor and outdoor seating options, we enjoy the cozy atmosphere and beautiful views of the surrounding area while dining. The restaurant is inspired by the spirit of Kungfu, adding a fun and unique twist to both the menu and the overall dining experience. It’s the perfect place to indulge in fresh, flavorful noodles while soaking in the island vibe.

Inside the kitchen, it’s such a fun and lively atmosphere! You can watch as the noodles are skillfully prepared with so much passion and care. The staff works diligently, making sure every bowl of soup is the best it can be. It’s clear they take great pride in their work. On top of that, the staff is incredibly friendly, always greeting you with a warm smile and making you feel at home. It’s this combination of hard work, passion, and great service that makes Kungfu Noodle Restaurant truly special.

We truly enjoyed watching how they make the noodles at Kungfu Noodle Restaurant. From a big piece of dough, they create such delicious noodles, and it’s fascinating to see the process! Watching them pull the dough and skillfully shape the noodles adds a unique touch to the entire experience. It’s amazing how the craftsmanship behind it all elevates the taste, making each bowl of soup even more special. There’s something about knowing the noodles are made fresh right in front of you that makes every bite even more satisfying!

The outside seating at Kungfu Noodle Restaurant is truly pleasant, offering a perfect spot to enjoy the breathtaking sunset. As you dine, you can hear the soothing sound of the waves, and the gentle breeze adds to the relaxing atmosphere. At night, the experience gets even better with a stunning view of the fireworks from the village—making it a memorable place to enjoy both your meal and the surroundings. It’s the perfect combination of delicious food and a beautiful setting!

The noodles at Kungfu Noodle Restaurant are truly perfect, and trust us, they taste just as amazing as they look! The soups are reasonably priced, ranging from 45,000 VND to 70,000 VND, with a combo option available for 115,000 VND. If you’re looking to try the best pho and the most delicious soup on the island, this is the place to be. We highly recommend it! Enjoy the sea breeze, watch the sunset, catch the fireworks, and indulge in the best soup on the island. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss!

Pho Nuong
Pho Nuong is a popular restaurant in Phu Quoc, Vietnam, renowned for its expertly grilled seafood and authentic Vietnamese dishes. Conveniently located near Sunset Town, it’s a must-visit spot for locals and tourists alike, offering a true taste of traditional Vietnamese cuisine.
The menu features an array of fresh seafood options, including grilled fish, shrimp, clams, and squid, alongside Vietnamese classics like bánh xèo, spring rolls, and hearty noodle soups. Whether you’re craving fresh-from-the-sea specialties or comforting traditional dishes, Pho Nuong’s diverse selection promises to delight your taste buds and immerse you in Vietnam’s vibrant culinary culture.

One of the highlights of Pho Nuong is the BBQ experience, where everything is grilled right in front of you. The seafood is incredibly fresh, adding to the excitement of watching your meal come to life. We tried a variety of seafood, and every bite was absolutely delicious. To mix things up, we even added some beef and pork to the spread, and they didn’t disappoint either!

We ordered eel and fish served with turmeric on the side, and it was absolutely delightful. The flavors were so rich that we used the turmeric sauce to enhance the steamed rice—it added such a fantastic taste! We also tried clams with cheese, and they were incredibly yummy, a true treat for seafood lovers.

Cutting into the large seafood platter felt like an art form! Here in Vietnam, nearly every restaurant provides scissors to help you cut the meat, fish, or whatever delicious dish they serve. We found it incredibly handy and efficient. Back in the U.S., you typically only see scissors at BBQ spots, but here, it’s a common and practical touch that we’ve come to appreciate.

We ordered a big seafood platter priced at 450,000 VND, and it was so generous that there was no need to order extra food—but of course, we couldn’t resist trying more dishes! When we visit restaurants, we often explore as much of the menu as possible to discover what we like and don’t like. For this blog, we only feature restaurants we truly enjoy, so if you’re wondering why most of the food here gets high praise, that’s the reason!
