If you’ve followed us for a while, you might remember we were plant-based eaters for about four years. While we’ve since shifted for various reasons (more on that in another blog post), The Kynd Community brought back all those good memories with its incredible menu. The café is easy to spot thanks to its vibrant pink exterior, and it’s one of those places you just can’t walk past without wanting to check out.
Once inside, you’ll quickly notice it’s also a bit of an Instagram hotspot. People here can’t resist snapping photos of their food because it’s so beautifully prepared, almost like edible art. Even if you’re not usually the type to photograph your meals, trust us – this place will inspire you! Every plate comes out looking picture-perfect, from the smoothie bowls to the fresh-pressed juices.
The Kynd Community truly makes healthy food exciting and accessible, and it’s a spot we think every traveler should experience at least once in Bali.
The Kynd Community is a popular plant-based café in Bali, with locations in both Seminyak and Canggu. We visited the Seminyak location at Jalan Petitenget No. 12. Open daily from 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM, it’s an ideal spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and a favorite among locals and tourists alike who are after a healthy, delicious meal in a lively setting.

Our Serene First Visit to The Kynd Community
Our first visit to The Kynd Community was on an early morning, right after we watched an incredible sunrise. The café was peaceful and quiet, with only a few early risers around. Instead of chatter from neighboring tables, we were surrounded by the sounds of birds singing and leaves rustling in the morning breeze. It’s an open-air space with a relaxed vibe and even a tall palm tree right in the middle, giving it that unmistakable Bali feel.
We’d had this spot on our bucket list, so we were excited to finally see it in person—and of course, we had to try one of their famous fruit smoothies. It truly lived up to the hype! The blend was incredibly smooth, topped with fresh fruit and nuts that added just the right amount of crunch. Their breakfast menu is packed with tempting options, so if you go, be ready for some serious decision-making because everything looked amazing.

A Sunflower Welcome and Sweet Treats
As soon as we walked into The Kynd Community, we were struck by its beautiful decor. Right at the entrance, a giant sunflower with a swing welcomed us—a detail that felt extra special, as sunflowers hold a unique meaning for us in our travels. You can read more about why sunflowers are important to us in our Why We Travel post! This was the perfect spot to snap a few photos and soak in the atmosphere before enjoying our smoothie bowl.

A Special Visit to a Meaningful Café
We visited The Kynd Community café because it was on our daughter Christine’s bucket list. It felt so meaningful to be there in her honor, and we absolutely loved the experience. Inside, we discovered a wall covered with letter magnets, which invited everyone to leave little messages. We couldn’t resist writing, “Christine is our hero!” She remains our inspiration in everything we do, and it felt right to share her spirit with the world in such a special place.

Finding Inspiration at The Kynd Community
We also came across an inspirational wall inside the café that really resonated with us. We’d love to share some of the quotes with you:
“Damn, life is good. How lucky we are to be here, right here in Bali.” This one hit home for us. Sometimes we forget to appreciate life and all the good things we have. Our daughter, Christine, wanted to be here, but she couldn’t. So, if you’re reading this, We urge you to enjoy life to the fullest, be where your heart wants to be, and always be KYND to everyone.
“Remember that every situation presented to you is a lesson. Take it. Never ever stop learning. Fail, but do it quickly & learn from it.” This quote really reminded us that growth comes from challenges and that learning never stops.
“Trust people until they give you a reason not to. You don’t need a lot of friends, just quality friends.” The importance of surrounding ourselves with the right people really stood out here.
“Know that some people will change your life forever. Find them.” This one spoke to the power of meaningful relationships and connections.
“Karma is real. Give more. Way more. Giving is the purest form of happiness.” I love this one because it reminds us that the act of giving brings so much joy.
“Understand the power of thought. Thought is creation.” This is something I truly believe in — our thoughts shape our reality.
These quotes offered such a beautiful reminder to stay grateful, kind, and open to learning. They seemed like the perfect messages to reflect on during our visit to such a special place.
